Since 2001, the R5K has been contracting Stan Baker, local Ann Arbor Potter, to create the awards for "run like mike" Rutka 5K, and Mike Ward of Doner Advertising to design the logo for each award.
Runners have been collecting these cups and saucers for the past six years and we look forward to more great designs and creations from Stan and Mike.

Using my own hand made stoneware clay and glazes, each piece is created on the potters wheel with extruded and/or hand built additions, then decorated with a subtle oriental brushwork design. Fired to 2300 degrees in a specially designed, gas fired kiln with oxidation atmosphere to obtain a soft pleasing texture. All of my work can be functional as well as decorative. Use it everyday or give it as a special gift. I enjoy being a Potter, I hope you enjoy my work!
